Less Is More 2024

Welcome to 2024 Aus!  I hope you had a good stay at home even though it was short.  It was relaxing to take the Christmas week off with you and dad, with no classes and no small group meetings!   Our trip to Stix, DFS and Royal Hawaiian was fun, always something new in Waikiki!  Did you enjoy the Christmas Eve service?  I thought it was pretty organic and unpretentious.  I truly enjoyed the worship!  Our roast chicken dinner turned out better than I expected!  Thanks to you guys for not being picky.  The Beyond Bakery cake was out of this world and worth every single dollar!  I am proud to navigate Mario Cart and ranked better than 12th place after a few games.  I am truly not into video games because virtual reality is not for me!  Sorry you got sick on Christmas Day but we still had a decent time touring dad's office and City Hall.  You missed pickleball this time!  It was the perfect condition, but there will ...

Intelligence

“Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.” Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬ This definition of intelligent people is refreshing, and I want to share it with you. It is not based on how much knowledge one possesses, but based on how humble and open one is to learn.  Along the same vein, Proverbs also said that a wise person has many advisors.  How do I rate myself in terms of openness to learn? Who has/have been my most trusted advisor(s) in my life journey?  What have they taught me?  How did I find them? Let’s pray to thank God for advisors in our lives and ask for godly intelligence. 💞Mom

Dad and I are walking with you.   You have heard from Psalm 119 that "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."  Well, how long is a step? Maybe 2.5 feet?  How far can a flashlight shine ahead of a path? Maybe 10 feet? This verse is saying that God's word guides us in small steps, not long distances.  If we walk or think too far, we will feel lost because we are no longer in the light.  Constantly go back to God for illumination. When you wake up in the morning, say, "Good morning God, be the lamp to my feet and light to my path today."  Then go about your day, being confident that he hears you because you are asking according to the Bible.   Yep, it's more reliable than y...
